Summary | 0003493: FAR Crashes when connection (connect and show folder contents) to SFTP host takes too long
Description | Whenever I access an SFTP site using the NetBox it crashes when the initial connection takes too long. I rolled back to a much older version (4218 Nightly) which does not suffer from the problem. The problem has been there for a long time now. ═════════════════════ Confirmation ═════════════════════ **Host is not communicating for more than 15 seconds. Still waiting...** Note: If the problem repeats, try turning off 'Optimize connection buffer size'. Abort (32 s) ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ When you press 'Abort', FAR Crashes.
Steps To Reproduce | Open FAR Open NetBox Select SFTP host which will only respond slowly (i.e. after initial connection, retrieval of file list is very slow leading to a time out). When connecting to same host with last folder which is quick to list, no issue.
Additional Information | Much older versions do not suffer from the issue Windows error report: Files that help describe the problem: C:\Users\EB50109\AppData\Local\Temp\WER271F.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\Users\EB50109\AppData\Local\Temp\WER32D3.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\EB50109\AppData\Local\Temp\WER3351.tmp.mdmp Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\WINDOWS\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt Alas, the files which are supposed to be there according to Microsoft, are not.
