Summary | 0002847: Editor TitleBar shows wrong informations
Description | For example (The "_" stand for spaces): "C:\Far.exe.ini______1200__Ln_______1/39 Col 5____Ch 5 ________117___12:00" 1. Wrong descriptions. 2. Col = Ch. 3. I'm not sure what LN means... Maybe the Codepage? I suggest the following: (I've left the LN inside. If it is Codepage better use Cp) "C:\2\Far.exe.ini______Cp 1200__Ln_______Row 1/39 Col 5_________Ch 117___12:00" Ooh, and the same file in Viewer shows: C:\2\Far.exe.ini_______t 1200_______2134_____Col 0___100%___12:16 1. t should be Cp 2. Should be "By 2134" or "2134 Bytes" if there's enough place (Size) FAR3 4158

> 1. Wrong descriptions. What is wrong, exactly? > 2. Col = Ch. Only if there is no tabs preceding the cursor position. > 3. I'm not sure what LN means... Maybe the Codepage? Ln_______1/39 means "Line 1 out of 39" |

This seems to me confusing. Should be clearer. Col=column Ln=line/row ch=??? (NOT charactercode!) Suggestion: 1. Put the designation in front of and near the values C:\file.ext *_____Cp 850___Ln 20/64 Col 10/11___Ch 32___Time This means: * more behind filename (one space distance) Cp/Ln/Col/Ch before values (one space distance) Use Ch as an abbreviation for Charactercode Everything from "Cp..." right sided in titlte bar (as it already is). 2. Put a line in helpfile explainig at least those x/y values (I can translate this to english...) |

OK. This is not part of Far I'm involved in, let's hope other developers are reading your suggestions. |

> Off-topic, but... there are more than 300 untranslated strings in the German language file (FarGer.lng). Who'll ever use German FAR. I'm fixed on English tools. :) |
