Description | Trying to open a Windows 8.1 OneDrive "smart file" results in "The file cannot be accessed by the system" error message. These "smart" files are NTFS reparse points, and can only be opened when the FILE_FLAG_OPEN_REPARSE_POINT is set. These are not real files, they must be dowloaded first. > Steps To Reproduce: > Open any online file in OneDrive on Windows 8.1 Actually, "Open" (using Enter) works just fine - shell downloads the file automatically. If you mean that such files can't be opened in internal viewer/editor - it's expected and I don't think it will change in the observable feature. I suggest you use 'Make available offline' command from the context menu for now. |
