Summary | 0003903: FAR Hangs while working with network resource
Description | The detailed description of the problem is following: I navigate some network drive (for example, mapped on letter X:). All works OK. And then I turn off the remote drive (for example, simply turn off remote computer) while it's contents is displayed on FAR's panel. And it immediately hangs. Moreover, it's very difficult to end task in such cases (it don't want to be killed at the first time, and dies after some time passed (20-30 sec). What's the problem? Note that Windows Explorer don't hang in such cases. JUST STOP CHECKING ALIVE OF NETWORK DRIVE WHEN I OPEN DRIVES MENU!!! I EXTREMELY HATE IT FOR 20 YEARS OF USING FAR.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. map network drive to any letter. 2. disconnect physically it from your net, example disconnect VPN where this network link located. 3. press Alt-F1 or Alt-F2 and WASTE YOUR TIME..............
Additional Information | extremely easy solution is to save drive info, for example in registry, and show it without these stupid timeouts.
